SENIOR PASTOR-Billy Reinhardt
First of all, I am a child of God only by the grace of God. I am nothing without Him and am thankful for His love and mercy shown to me every day. Also, I love my wife and my children and desire to be the best husband and father I can by pointing them to Jesus, with God’s help.
Occupationally, I have over 13 years full-time ministry experience as well as 8 years of lay leadership experience before then as a lay person in congregations. Along with being senior pastor at Riverside Heights Baptist Church, I also am an occasional adjunct professor at Birmingham Theological Seminary teaching mostly Apologetics courses. I am a “people-person” and I have a passion for preaching the gospel and sharing God’s Word with everyone. My ministry experience includes preaching/teaching in various settings, leading others in outreach, ministering to the sick, listening to others in crisis situations, responding to difficult questions, leading ministry teams to accomplish objectives, youth/children’s/college-career ministry, and many other ministerial duties.
One of my primary ministry convictions is that I believe the basis of all our Christian living flows from a deeper understanding of the Gospel message. All outreach and activities are founded upon, and fueled by, the gospel of Christ. I also have a desire to reach doubters and skeptics for Christ, as well as assist Christians who have questions about the Christian faith. In an effort to become better equipped to reach doubters and skeptics, I have finished my Master of Arts in Apologetics degree from Birmingham Theological Seminary (2014) to go along with my Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2006) and my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama (Religious Studies major, 2002). Currently, I am pursuing an Doctor of Ministry degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis on apologetics.
My desire is to glorify the Lord wherever I am and to be careful to give Him all the praise for anything good in my life.
MUSIC MINISTER/DEACON-Stan Carlton
Bro. Stan came to RHBC in February 2014. Church music has been a significant part of Stan’s life. He accepted his first church staff position when he was 16 years old and has been on staff at a church almost continually since. He is married to Dianna.
He was raised in the Hackneyville Community of northwest Tallapoosa County. He has had family connections to Elmore County for most of his life. His adopted grandparents lived and worked at Camp Kiwanis on Lake Martin for years, and were related to many in the community. His paternal uncle, Ben Carlton, had a great love for music and has a history of musical service to Elmore County School and to the church community.
Stan studied music under private instructors and spent 4 summers at the Gospel Singers of America School of Christian Music, in Pass Christian, MS (connected to the old Stamps-Baxter Music publishing and teaching industry) and was a church music major at the University of Montevallo.
He currently works with the Alabama Department of Transportation, as their Equipment Management Coordinator. Before ALDOT, he was with the Dept. of Corrections for 6 months, in personnel management. Prior to his 24+ years with the State of Alabama he spent over 10 years in mechanical engineering and design, and 5 years in the automotive service industry. Stan has a BS in Management from Troy University, Montgomery, a minor in Engineering Technology and added coursework in Accounting.
He and Dianna have been married 34 years. They have 2 sons, Adam (daughter-in-law Doryan) and Shane (daughter-in-law Desirae), and 3 lovely grandchildren: Brandon, Chloe, and Nikki. Adam and Doe live off Redland Road in Wetumpka; Shane and Desirae live in Coosa County. Bro. Stan and Dianna live on Jug Factory Road in the Claud Community.
“While my primary ministry is music and worship, I am an ordained minister, and have served churches as Sunday School Teacher, Bible Studies Leader and in administrative positions including Board of Trustees, Facilities/Security, Investments/Finance, and Lay Leadership/Nominations. I strive to make myself available when possible to the Church Members and family in times of need.”
“We embrace our ministry at RHBC with gratitude, love and an expectation that God’s work will excel.”
